We had our family reunion this weekend and my aunt brought a box of stuff for everyone to look through and divide up between all the children and grandchildren. There were letters that my grandfather wrote to his sister during the war. And there were handkerchiefs, old photos, newspaper clippings....I thought that some of the neatest were the baby clothes that my great-grandmother made my grandfather and his brothers and sisters. I showed Carlos when he got home and he was like, awww was that something that you wore when you were a baby? Uhhh - no, my mom got me pink dresses and I didn't wear bonnets....anyway, after he had a history lesson, he said I should display it. Great idea! I will try to post up pics when I do.
Oh wait a minute. i think i remember a photo of you in a bonnet ... yep I swear I do...
I must find it now.
Thats amazing - what a great thing to share family heirlooms and things that were close to relatives.
