I Set Off Metal Detectors....every time.

I have to go to court a lot with this new job (that I can't tell you about). When I know I have a hearing, I make sure that I don't wear belts or shoes with metal on them, etc. I always take off all of jewelry before I go through and I still set it off....my freaking BRA has metal in it...LOL!! So this is the way it goes, I walk in take off necklace, rings, bracelet, earrings. I don't take my cell phone in, or much of anything really. I give my files, my pen and my badge to the security guard and walk through. The alarm goes off - I look at the guy and say, just scan me. So I go around the table and I already know the drill so I stand with my arms raised and the scanner turns red and makes beeping noise when it goes over my boobs. Makes no noise anywhere else. Duh. I know they laugh at me EVERY time b/c it happens EVERY time.....rrrrrr!! They are bored.....

Decorating with Wine Bottles

I decorated for a Spa night for single moms on Sunday. I used wine bottles that I wrapped in tissue paper and tied with ribbon. The table cloth was an old sheet that I dyed purple. This post is mostly for my Cousins who I am throwing a baby shower with in August. We will be using the colors brown, orange, teal and white. So this was a test for the center pieces and table cloths....well cousins? What do you think?

Carlos is a hard workin' honey! I got new shelves put into my closet! Yippeee! He is gonna be gone for like 5 weeks - so he did all this stuff around the house so I wouldn't have to mess with a bunch of things while he was gone. Isn't he a sweetie?

Sonic Grilled Chicken Salad

Someone tell me WHY they put an onion ring on their salads??? Are they trying to ruin my diet or what? Seriously - I see that onion ring and I am like...well they put it on there and I don't want to waste food so I will eat it...I would be better off with a single, tiny fry....but yeah, I ate the onion ring today...and I LIKED it.

The Cube

I got a new job -have I told you that? And I can't tell you about it (that's my dad's complaint) and I did have an office but then I got moved to the cube. I really like it cause its quiet, warm, and away from everyone else. The only draw back? It's a cube, its bland, its grey...so I slowly am starting to decorate it. Above is a video of that it looks like walking into my cube and then below is my decorating for the week. lol!

Cousin

Hey Cousin! This really only would affect YOU since I am sure you and I go to the same sites - and I don't want you being like, wow, val posts on like everyones blog like a crazy person (I just do that on yours) lol - BUT to anyone else out there who stumbles across my comment on a random blog or website, here is the deal: I am practicing good blogging, surfing manners. Few and Far Between

I am having a hard time blogging these days. It is not for lack of ideas, funny moments or rants either. Basically I have this new job and I can't tell you about it. LOL!! I always want to blog about things that happen here - but I could get fired for that, and my dad told me not to lose this job. THEN I feel like I have to be careful about the things that I rant about that are going on in the news because I don't want someone to find out that I write this blog and I work here and I said blah blah blah....soooooo, I need to stir up my creative juices and blog about things that don't matter all that much to the world....cause I know that this blog is always cutting edge. haha So this post is for my mom and Melissa who are the only ones who read regularly.
