Manners...

Mommy's are having quite a summer. Maybe its some sort of low pressure weather pattern that has been slowly moving through....I don't know, but it's affecting the kids. On Saturday I night I ate at my sister in laws house. Her daughter is...6 years old (my favorite age). My SIL told me that he daughter had made up the cutest song and asked her to sing it for me. She wouldn't but she did whisper some of the lines in my ear....something about can you teach an alligator manners. It sounded familiar and I was like - that kind of sounds like that book If you give a moose a muffin....anyway we all just went on our way, didn't think anymore about it. This morning my SIL sends me a text:

SIL: S. is writing sentences b/c that alligator song was not hers...its from a cartoon...lyin and plagiarism..lol

ME: LOLOL wow....how did you figure that out

SIL: We were singing it this morning and I heard her tell C....member that show...i made it different...so at breakfast I said hey C can you sing that song? And he sang it exactly and i said how did he know he said from the show then S said I changed it....it was exactly the same so I had to talk to her about what she was doing was lying and how it caused her one sin to multiply cuz she lied every time we sang it and when I told ya'll. After the sentences I talked to her about plagiarism and how its a from of stealing something and lying in saying its yours and how we can get in trouble in school with poems, songs, and writing....crazy...lol.

ME Wow. Can I laugh cause I really want to.

ME Thats awesome! Poor C....alll innocent singing the song. Can you imagine what was going through S's head????

Well, the texting kept going on...but I will leave you with that. My SIL actually ended up doing a great job teaching S about not doing that and even C learned about plagiarism. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall just to see S's face as her brother sang "her song" word for word. Could you tell that my SIL is a teacher? hehe!

I am in a funk - I think that I need to take vitamins, drink more water, exercise, and get more sleep. So why did I start messing with creating a new site to upload all of our photos to? Because I am crazy. I Set Off Metal Detectors....every time.

I have to go to court a lot with this new job (that I can't tell you about). When I know I have a hearing, I make sure that I don't wear belts or shoes with metal on them, etc. I always take off all of jewelry before I go through and I still set it off....my freaking BRA has metal in it...LOL!! So this is the way it goes, I walk in take off necklace, rings, bracelet, earrings. I don't take my cell phone in, or much of anything really. I give my files, my pen and my badge to the security guard and walk through. The alarm goes off - I look at the guy and say, just scan me. So I go around the table and I already know the drill so I stand with my arms raised and the scanner turns red and makes beeping noise when it goes over my boobs. Makes no noise anywhere else. Duh. I know they laugh at me EVERY time b/c it happens EVERY time.....rrrrrr!! They are bored.....

Decorating with Wine Bottles

I decorated for a Spa night for single moms on Sunday. I used wine bottles that I wrapped in tissue paper and tied with ribbon. The table cloth was an old sheet that I dyed purple. This post is mostly for my Cousins who I am throwing a baby shower with in August. We will be using the colors brown, orange, teal and white. So this was a test for the center pieces and table cloths....well cousins? What do you think?

The Cube

I got a new job -have I told you that? And I can't tell you about it (that's my dad's complaint) and I did have an office but then I got moved to the cube. I really like it cause its quiet, warm, and away from everyone else. The only draw back? It's a cube, its bland, its grey...so I slowly am starting to decorate it. Hey Cousin! Few and Far Between

I am having a hard time blogging these days. It is not for lack of ideas, funny moments or rants either. Basically I have this new job and I can't tell you about it. LOL!! I always want to blog about things that happen here - but I could get fired for that, and my dad told me not to lose this job.
